I picked up the car today right before they closed. I understand why they said it wouldn't be ready until then... Collision Centerz did a pretty crappy job on some parts of the paint job. The trim ring has a bad run in it and other minor flaws. They did a good job under the hood though. The worse part is the cover for the CAI. They put the hood down when the paint was still tacky and it rubbed on the hood insulator because it wasn't lowered enough. Now I have hood insulation stuck to the CAI cover! They said they would fix it but I am sorta pressed for time now. My brother-in-law is getting married tomorrow so I will see if they can do it on Friday. I am pretty upset over all. Oh, I forgot to mention... A bird bombed my spoiler with a pretty big splat. My father-in-law takes a glass of water and his fingernail to scrap it off! I can't fault the guy, he was only trying to help but it looks like he used sandpaper on it. I wish he would've told me or just let me take care of it. Who knows what that bird was eating but it had to have had sand or gravel in it... I used everything I have to try and fix it. It looks a lil' better but it is still noticeable. Anybody have any suggestions for me, I would appreciate it! I feel like I got punched in the gut. All of this before the LHM car show... That sucks. I hope it gets fixed quick for you. |

That sucks, i would try buffing out the spoiler.

That sucks to hear, I tried Meguars 2.0 scratch repair. I will bring it today, or Saturday BBQ, or LHM show. it worked for me a lil when my son closed the garage on back of my trunk.

Thanks Chris. I tried the some stuff my father-in-law had. It was a brand I never heard of before. It does look a lot better but it is still noticeable so maybe the Meguires 2.0 will do the trick... I just got back from dropping the car off at Collision Centerz for Round 2. They promised me I would have it back before closing tomorrow. I hope they can fix everything. My expectations are not high though. I hope the M & G went well. I wish I could have made it. I wanna see some pics! C-ya this weekend at either Russell's or the LHM car show. |

I haven't seen you around yet but I wanna check out your car sometime. It looks nice! I've seen a top banana driving around and at the Syracuse 6 a few times. Boy Pogo, everyone in my family keeps seeing you around all the time, except me. I guess I need to hang out at the theater a little more.  The Top Banana at the theater belongs to one of the assistant managers, he also a fireman for the Syracuse Fire Department. My daughter Kira keeps trying to get him out to a club event. I keep trying to catch up to him to invite him myself, but when I have minute to stop by he's not working. I'll have to find out from my wife when he's working there again and make it a point to stop in and invite him. We may have to have another event is Davis County however to get him there. Now there are what, five of us up here now. |
