My wife was driving the charger and ran over something that punctured the sidewall of the rear tire. It's lucky I kept a couple of my take offs from when I had the new tire put on so I have a spare. While she had it over at Big-O getting the tire changed they informed her the tie-rod ends are shot. I guess that's to be expected at 30K miles on these cars. It sucks having to buy a new tire though.

So, I took the car into Brent Brown and they changed the right outer tie rod end and ordered a new steering wheel for me (the leather on mine is peeling on top). They also suggested the 30K mile service that includes changing the plugs. He seemed surprised when I told him that SRTs come with platinum plugs that don't need to be changed until 100K miles. I really hate dealerships.

yea, the last time I went to the dealer, they told me that if I didn't do the scheduled maintenance, it would void the warranty.......
I said, that's OK, the warranty expire 3 months ago, so....NO!
Happy to see ya got her fixed

You know thats where they make most of their money is in service and parts.
It also amazes me that the transmission dipstick is considard a tool on the SRT-8. I bet it will cost a $100. So I'm think what is the oil dipstick is considard and it comes with the car.

Yea, they wanted to do the plugs and PCV valve for $438.66 and a 30K mile service for $664.95 In the manual the 30K maintenance includes an oil and air filter change plus checking the brakes and PCV. It is amazing that they get people to pay for this crap.
