so i have been looking for some time for a old A body mopar. my search ended and found a 1965 dodge dart gt. here are 2 pictures i took while looking at the car. i will have it back to my place this weekend. i plan to take a ton more pictures once it is here. i am super excited for the new project. i posted this on the mopars of utah forum as well but being a part of this forum i want to share my new mopar.   |

thanks i can not wait to drive it. i got it started last saturday. the plan is to get it ready for the road. enjoy it and then save for the future because i have big changes in store for it.

I guess it did not happen, there will be no build pictures. I will say this, built to the nuts and balanced 426 with after market stage 3 heads around 600 lift boost cam and double digit boost. Oh and Mechanical finesse as fine as frog hair out under the shade of a greasewood bush.

What's the long term plans? i see i have not posted much about this car on this forum. i got the car home. bypassed the fuel tank and got the car started. it runs great and i mean great. can not even believe it has a carb on it. it does have some oil leaks how ever. i picked up a headlight trim ring. so it now has headlights. marker lights do not work and i have not looked into the problem yet. was hoping to start driving it but plans changed after i dropped the fuel tank and found it full of rust and the pick up bad. so i am going to start scrapping the floor pan so i can mini tub it. i have already purchased all of the missing trim pieces. i am planning on leaving the body alone for now and do everything around it. one day paint but that is to much money. i am putting money away to purchase a rms front end. then i will buy the new wheels. once here i will buy the rear axle. then onto the motor part. long list but i have a budget and i hope to stay with in it. |
