I brought my car down with me from Canada. It has daytime running lights and I can't stand it. I'm gonna put LED halos in and the running lights ruin it for me.
ANyone disabled them? I've looked around and can't find anything- aside from pulling fuses.
Also- anyone elses LX do this?
With the daytime lights on, when I hit my signal light, that same daytime light shuts off. When the signal light is shut off, it turns itself back on. No, it's not a bug in the system, it's DESIGNED THIS WAY!!
I hate it. I'm paranoid people think I have a burnt out light when I'm waiting to turn. Then they'll see it pop back on after the turn and think my mag is a peice of crap with crappy wiring.

You should be able to go into the car settings and change the sensitivity of the lights, or am I thinking of the wrong thing? I think I'm talking more about the auto headlights. Probably not the same thing.

These come on with the key. I guess unless there's some magic trick or switch thats flipped somewhere I find the right fuse and yank it. Rather not, I prefer a more "presidential solution"...

There's got to get something in the cars programing as the US cars don't have the daytime running lights. I'm sure it's an easy fit, just a matter of finding out what is turning the light on.

Pretty sure you can take it to the dealership and hook it up to the Starscan. I know they can turn it off that way. All the LXs are made in Canada. I know they have the setting where if you flip your high beams on, the fogs will still stay on. That's a Euro deal because they can run up to 6 lights on the road while the U.S. Federal law only allows us to run 4 lights.

Ben is right. I talked to the ex-dodge mechanic that I work with and he stated that the dealer can turn them off or you can pull the fuse. He said that there is a specific fuse just for that. It will save you money and if you decide to up grade your car you can just put the fuse back in. If you take it to the dealer they will probably make you sign a waiver before telling the computer to turn it off.
