So is it recommended to this mod in the summer as opposed to this time of year? It could be done in a garage with a hair dryer. They just come off easier when they are warmed up.

Sounds like a plan but this po' boy doesn't have a garage so it might be a warm weather mod after all.

Wow! I was just messing with ya Richard. I am glad you are starting to see the light! Eddy, long story short... I've been messing with Richard to remove them for awhile but he is one of those die-hards and thinks that the door guards are gonna save his life in case he gets T-boned or something. ;D But if you wanna remove them on gamer day I will have room for ya in the garage.

I was reading another article and it talked about using fishing string to help remove the molding. I used this when I removed some of my badging. Just take a good strong fishing line, working it back and forth it will cut right through the mastic holding the molding. After I had the logo removed half of the mastic was on the back of the badging and the other half still on the car. I was able to peel most of the mastic off fairly easy. Then just used a good cleaner to get the residue off.
I don't think this method cares about the temp. Please there is no fear of pulling off any paint.

Just inspect paint/clear coat condition. I am not able to remove my front passenger one and I thought it would look wierd to have all removed but the right side 2 inch front one. Plus when I ws washing, I notice a bunch of dings & dents in that moulding. So I am keeping my, but I do hate how water gets in there and than I got to re dry car again to remove the water lines and drips from the molding.

Ok guys I'm taking off my door guards Richard: I'll believe it when I see it! ;D Eddy: The joke wasn't on you by any means. I was just wondering how long it was gonna take for Richard to chime in and when he did, I was shocked (still am) by his answer. My garage is available if you wanna rip'em on game day or any other day for that matter.
