Just in case anyone was interested.
We will be getting together at Strausburg's machine shop home of Strasburg Racing. We'll get a tour of the facility and a chance for questions and discussion. They are generally regarded as one of the better machine shops around. And they are great Mopar guys.
We've seen some Strasburg cars at MATS. Strasburg Racing currently campaigns a AA Fuel Dragster in the NHRA.
The time is 7 PM on Wednesday the 9th. The machine shop is at 468 N 1200 W in Lindon. The place will be hard to find unless you have an accurate GPS or directions - here are some directions for those using brand x GPS units.
From SLC and going south into Utah County, exit right on Exit 275 (Just past the 2 American Fork exits). At the top of the off ramp turn left and cross over I-15. You'll be on Pleasant Grove Blvd. Turn right on 700 N. As you follow the road it will curve to the left. Turn right on N. Geneva Rd. Turn right again onto 500 N and left at 1200 W.
We realize this is a quite a bit south for some of you but believe it will be worth the effort. Hope to see you all there.
For those that would like to cruise down together we are planning on lining up on the curb (pointing north) in front of the Larry H Miller Dealership. I think we should hit the road at 6:30.

It was pretty cool. Strasburg had a lot of knowledge of motors and what the best things to do with them. I'm going to have to look into getting my motor cnc ported.

I had a lot of fun, and learned a lot! Oh the things I could do with the machines he has in his shop. What I enjoyed the most was learning how the balanced a motor. It's a simple process, just need the tools to do it. It was also fun to the the aluminum blocks he had there where rods had been thrown out the side! He also has an engine dyno to test engines. Then it really got fun when we started talking about his dragster. Just one set of connecting rods for that thing was $1,200, and I couldn't believe how massive they were. Then at the end was all sat around the dragster chatting for a while. He was really cool in explaining everything about it, and let you get as close as you wanted. His dragster produces a massive 8,000 horse power (at sea level) and when it takes off pulls almost 6 G's! Here's a picture My daughter now has a new goal, she wants to drive one of these things! ;D I know that Ben was taking pictures, so maybe we could get him to post a couple.

Did anyone ask how much?, I would love to port my throttle body & intake manifold. I wonder how much it is to machine bore & port the block to 426? BTW Nice pics Ben, much appreciated.
