I was on the 300cforum.com group buy for LED halo fog lights and I also bought the headlight rings they are all in blue. This past weekend I finally got the time and the courage to install them. That was a headache and a half pulling the headlights apart but it's done!! I also installed a LED controller that can dim the lights 8 levels make them strobe and pulse all by key fob remote. They are WICKED! I'm trying not to drive around with them on but it's hard. I have had short trips in the day and night and people could not stop staring. I don't think the general population has seen halos other than the dull BMW ones.
Sorry I don't have any pictures I'm at my work computer, just thought I would share some of my experience with you guys.
One of these times I plan on making a M & G and then I can show them off to you guys. I have previous engagements or I would go to the 24th M & G

Thanks guys, hey one quick question for those of you that have halos, do the cops get on your case if you drive wit them on and if/when they pull you over do they give you a fix it ticket so you have to change the lights or do they warn you and tell you not to use them when driving. I don't want a fix-it ticket because I would have to replace the headlights to show the change because that would be more money than buying halos

My expericence with fix it tickets, is you either pay the fine or fix it. So in your case, I would just pay the $40 and keep the halos off when driving. I would double check with Rob (RobsSXT) or Christian(UteCharger) as they would probably have the best advise being that they are officers of the law ;D...

This is what i come to learn. If you got blue/red even maybe amber you can maybe risk it driving around but do not have them on the highway. I actually wouldnt turn on red or blue on the street, impersonating is officer is nothing something i want on my record lol

I wouldn't recommend driving with either red or blue on. I got a warning from a officer. He said he only gave me a warning because my car looked cool and he was driving a charger too.

Just found this...
White and yellow/orange you should be fine. no different that any DRL or other driving light. Don't run your other colors. Also, you can't have no more than 4 forward facing lights on at once, some might take issue with having, for example regular lights, then your brights, then halos. I heard some troopers plan on writing tickets for that. I'd fight it, because I believe the law says "forward facing LAMPS". I'd argue an LED light is NOT a lamp.
