Lockpick applications ?

I have been looking at the lockpick for the main reason that I would like to have a back up camera with nightvision because with my tinted windows it is very hard to see at night.
I would also like to play videos on my stereo screen and I have the VES unit already.
I have seen alot of lockpicks for sale with the REC head unit(which I think is the my gig for 2007's and up).
What I was wondering is do you guys know if they make a lockpick for my 2006 (RER?) nav unit and will it do the two things that I want it to do?
I have not looked much but the cheapest I have seen them was 249.00 for the REC which is on the top end of what I value this mod at. If you know of cheaper pl;aces please let me know

That is great idea, because my windows are dark as heck too... I am always worried bout backing into something at night. I do have the back up sensors, but ya can never be to sure, my car even has the hole on the licence plate for a back up cam from previous owner. Please share your findings, I would like to do this mod.

Well I did some research and found this link on a different forum that shows the difference of the 2005/06 vs. the 2007 and up. It looks like us with 2005/06 cannot use a backup camera because the deck doesn't have the input.

My next recearch will be on adapting a myGig into an 06 vehicle so I could have a touch screen and a back up camera with video.

Bummer, I have an 06 as well, so according to your recent finding. I wont be able to hook up back cam on my current system. What is wierd though, the owner before me had back up cam, not sure if he switched to an aftermarket unit. I guess I will find out. To bad there isnt a little adaptor to make this feature work for 06.
