I might just see if we can just get a nice shiny steel one from Karl instead of the stock black one from Dodge if they are the same price. They charge about $100 an hour. That's probably for taking the bumper off and putting it back on.

My car is no longer under warranty. I'm not really sure why this is happening. Something is definitely leaking though. I go through 1 gallon of coolant a week for the last 3 weeks. Before that, it was 1 gallon a month. Brent Brown just tops me off every time, but this is too much. The fans are still working perfectly fine. There might be a crack in the radiator, but I never find any fluids under my car which is really odd. It's definitely not burning the fluid because I don't smell the sweet radiator fluid smell. I would certainly make sure of where it is leaking before changing the radiator. If you're loosing a gallon of coolant a week it has got to be visible somewhere. Have you removed the belly pan and looked to see if anything is wet? You should also have them sniff for exhaust gasses coming from you coolant to eliminate the possibility of a blown head gasket.

Hopefully its not that extreme, have Gordon see where you are leaking coolant. Greg is right, if you are loosing that much, surely there would be some kinda trail or evidence.

I don't have a belly pan. They were doing a pressure test and I was leaking coolant out of my radiator. But when the car is just sitting, there is no leakage. Hopefully it's not a blown head gasket. I haven't modified the motor to do that much and I've only had it for 2.5 years.

I've not kept track of labor rates, but $100.00 an hour seems a little excessive. This is an easy repair, I'll help you put the new radiator in for you want.

I wonder if someone will be posting something like this for our cars in 20 years Nah, the LX's will rule the road for a very long time. Maybe 40 years from now when everyone is driving flying cars or something. My 70 Charger R/T SE will be 40 years old as for Feb 2010. I bought it in 1974 for $1600 because gas had risen to 45 cents a gallon. That gas hog was one of the best and most cherished investments I ever made. With the greenies taking control of the world our LX cars will be considered gas hogs and polluters in the future. I don't know if my Charger SRT will ever have the value of my 70 but I'm going to keep it and anyway.
