blasting then coating will smooth it out quite a bit. Especially if I lay down a coat of clear over the base. What's the price to do this?

Yep, I want to get mine ported too. I'm definitely in for this, that wet black is cool! I have some jeep srt8 wheels that need some attention.
Unknowncoatings, do you have a shop or how can we contact you?

Wow, for some reason I thought for sure the 5.7 intake was case like the 6.1, I guess I was wrong. I guess that tells you how often I had the cover off of my 5.7 when I had it. No wonder I had you questioning my comment. Sorry about that! No worries Gordon & Mikey, I sure hope you guys clean those engine bays first. BTW, which ride is yours? Just a little dust from us not driving them I bet ours are cleaner than yours lol ;D

Porting is done in an effort to increase air flow, but unless the ports on the head are matched it doesnt do you any good.

Soooo I thought I would share this, as I am 100% sure it was directed at me.
There is a local coating competitor (if you can even call them that, i am not sure they get much business) and on their website on the MAIN PAGE in BOLD LETTERS and in bigger text than most of the other text on the page is this statement
""Don't trust your parts to some unknown coater powder coating your parts in a garage! ""
think thats directed at anyone in particular?
The Link is stanleydistribution.com
I will put my powder work against Stanleys any time they want to compare. Perhaps if my work is worth bashing they should quit using MY pics as references of THEIR WORK.
I have seen their powder work, and sure its ok, but so is my friends work with his harbor freight gun and house oven. unknown coatings coats for every BIG MONEY wheel and tire place in the area, as well as for Steve Harris Imports, the Bentley Store, 2 different Rover dealers, a ton of motorsports places. 2 BMW Dealerships hand out Unknown coatings cards on the regular.
But alas, I am just some guy in his garage, with thousands of dollars in equipment, and stocking over 200 colors and 20 minute access to over 150 more. Meaning you dont have to wait around a week for NIC to send the powder down here from Southern Oregon before you can get your parts done.
Oh, I also have a crap load of cores in stock, so eliminate downtime wherever possible.
anyways, maybe this is misdirected, maybe its not directed at me, just a strange combination of wording. But anyone who can read would probably disagree. I guess I will just waddle back out to my lil tiny garage, and check and see how these ****ty 09 Porsche GT3 wheels are doing.............

Yeah, it does sound like it is direct to you. I noticed they had Bicycle frame painted and nothing in those pictures of their work looked on high end. Me personally, I would go with an unknown coater , that I trust and seen work over someone who paintes bicycle parts.

I'm hoping to get my rims over to you this fall. Still have to send you an Email on what I want so I can get a price. Still considering the intake, just can't decide on a color yet.

Or their 12k price tag. but all that being said..................... I also do bikes... =]
