Was talking with Steve Hinckley today and he gave me the official date for the 2010 MATS (Mopars At The Strip). The dates are March 26 through March 29.
There are four events for MATS, the cruise down to Vegas, the drag racing, vendor swap meet, and a car show. This is a great event.
It sounds like Painter Motors is the Sponsor again this year.
Let me know if anyone else is interested in going or if you want more information.

I'd appreciate more info. I love Vegas ;D Here's their website www.moparsatthestrip.com/2007/home.shtmlMost of the information on the site is still the 2009 info, but I'm sure they will be updating it in the near future. The only other information I have at this time is that the Cruise officially will start at Painter Motors in Nephi on March 25. They are planning on providing a kick off breakfast at 9:00am. I'm sure there will be a meeting place in SLC were people can meet up and cruise down together to Nephi. This year the cruise will be down the I-15. The group will be making a stop in Cove Fort to meet up with the people coming down from Colorado, and then continuing down together. Lunch stop in Beaver, and anticipated arrival in Vegas at about 5:30pm. This is probably the largest Mopar Event in the Western part of the US. It draws just about every type of Mopar from classic to modern. People will be coming from all of the Western States as well as Canada. For the racing fans there is a full on drag race event. There is a class for every type of car including one for the LX series. It's bracket racing so it's a lot of fun. Most likely I will be entering my car this year. There are all kinds of vendors promoting their products and you can find just about anything there. In another section there will be a Swap Meet. The Swap Meet is a must if you have an older model Mopar you are restoring as just about any part you might need could be there. Then you have the car show. There are some amazing cars there. They are various types of contest that can be entered into. The event runs for three days, 3/26, 3/27, 3/28. I posted pictures from last years event in another post, here's the link, slclx.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=slclxevents&action=display&thread=3&page=2There is also a video that my daughter did a little further down the page. Hope this helps!

with such a large group are there blocks of rooms reserved or do we just get our own rooms? Based on the all the people in your pictures that showed up last year we can probably get a group discount on rooms

The main one is the Cannery. It's not too far from the Speed Way. However these rooms normally book out really fast. As I said it's a big event. I think I'll pull my travel trailer down this year and camp out at the speed way. That way we have a place to hang out. Also the MOU group plans a Bar-B-Q on of the days.

Its official, I got the time off approved, I'll be there!! Sweet Eddy! I am getting closer to going myself. I talked to a buddy in MI and he plans on flying out to Vegas during the same weekend. I am just wondering about the weather during this time-frame. If it's bad, I could always take the truck down to experience MATS.

Late March should be okay. Especially heading South. But I also heard that some of the guys got caught in some snow at last years.
