So, as some of you may know I crashed my car a while back. Rear ended some dude who was just chillin in the turn lane x.x But anyways It messed up the front of my car (Bumper, lights, Quarter pannel, Radiator, etc) 2 months later and the bodykit they shipped me is complete crap. It's got grinder marks all over where it looks like they tried to sand it down, theres waves all over everything some of it isn't straight. So we're talking to the guys who made it now seeing what they can do to make it right (You'd think for a $2,200 body kit you'd get good stuff > ) But anywhoo... Long story short I had to re tint my new set of headlights...For those of you that saw my old ones...well the new ones are even darker :s So my dad says my car isn't to be driven at night anymore and he will let me drive one of the other cars (No biggie ) So since I can't drive it at night and it's a daytime only car now I was wondering if you think I should do 5% windsheild tint? I think it looks awesome from the outside but I've never seen anything darker than 35% on the inside, anyone got any experience driving with 5% windsheild? How hard is it to see, any problems? I was just wondering what you guys thoughts were on that

Chris, Sorry to hear bout ths ordeal with the bodykit company, hopefully they get that straighten out. As far as the head light tint, Not sure I would make mine that dark, where I had to race home before dusk or streetlights come on. How are you going to bracket race with all your new mods, if ya got to start heading back after first round? As for the front windshield tint, it looks cool, but bad idea, unless you dont mind having the cops pull you over all the time. Trust me I know, I had a Black VR6 Jetta with 5% all around and front windshield 35%. It was so dark, that cops couldnt see my steering wheel, let alone me. I just dont want them to pull you over at gun point, because they fear for their life. As I got older and look back on it, I realize how foolish that was. I guess I learn stuff as I mature a bit. Chris that is just my honest opinion, Yes it looks great, but not worth the trouble of being pulled over everyweek. After 5 $40 fix tickets, I just lighten it up. Now I sport an even 24% all around except front windshield. Other thing too, Driving at night look for address was very challenging & difficult. Cant imagine with tint headlights and front windshield.

I thought tint on the front windshield is illegal? I think it's a federal offense, unless you have an eye prescription for it.

It is...but I highly doubt it's a federal offense? I might have to look into that

As i would love to have windshield tint because it looks so sick i just cant. I just really dont want to get pulled over for tint and then have to take it off. If you do decide to do i wouldnt do 5% do like 35% or something.

5% for a windshield? ? lol this is a joke right? Even if you had to maybe drive it at night a couple times you would be screwed and cops will be on your a$$ everyday. Not worth it IMO
