As a newbie I'd like your opinion on some tires. I have 2 extra wheels for my Charger SRT. I'd like to buy 2 new tires for them. These tires would be primarily used at RMR next summer. The stock size doesn't give me enough traction. What are your thoughts about new tires that won't see much street time?

Gordon has these Eagle F1s that work really well with his car. I have Goodyear GTIIs in 275/45/20. They work really well. If you heat them up too much though, they will just keep on spinning.

As Ben stated, the Eagle F1's worked fine for us last year as you know. I am running 255's in the back however.
You can always look at drag radials. I know there were a few of the guys thinking of going that route.

I know there were a few of the guys thinking of going that route. Well proceed with caution with running Slicks and even drag radials. You could snap halfshaft which is pretty common when doing burnouts and getting too much traction for our 27 spine shaft. If you are going to run slicks or even drags, I would consider getting driveshaft loop and quite possible beefing up halfshaft. PM for more info. I will do some additional research on other forums where I did my homework on matter and decide to get DriveShaft loop as a precaution safety measure and plan on upgrading halfshaft. Now I just got to find a wider 17 tire. I dont think the 8" wide 17s will allow me to go wider than 245- 255 max.
