I was running 104 octane at Wendover I wondered if that was the case! A combination of things I am sure, 2 Gallons of 104 octane w/ 2 gallon of 91 Octane, so I had less than 4 gallons in car for less weight. Could have been the 26psi for rear tires, engine cooled down to bout 181, which make a huge difference. I had my 93 Octane tune programmed in, Raced against a proven fast as heck SRT8 (hemifuk).. Had heat on during staging and turn off right before the race. Cut that light before he did without red lighting. Who knows, but when I got out of the gate, I knew it ws going to be my best run, just didnt know by how much. When Andrew, Amber and Bryan and everyone told me the time, I have to say, I was a lil surprised and excited like a lil kid on Christmas day.

Nice run Chris, that's an impressive time. the high octane gas and the 93 tune made a difference. That's pretty fast for not having any power adders like NOS or superchargers and such. Not to rain on your parade but my mustang friend has raced out there and he said alot of people go there to set lower times. He thinks that it is not quite a qtr mile and the timing system is not real exact, that is why most people set their best times. He has seen other people go there and set a low time and not be able to back it up at RMR. My friend is not the BS'n type so I tend to believe him but he can always be wrong The way to disprove this theory would be to come out and set that same time or better at RMR. I'm sure the 104 and the 93 tune made a difference and you ran a 14.01 before those changes. I hope you can make it but if not I understand

Just got done reading some of the post on the MOU website. If I count right it looks like at least 5 classic Mopars have committed on being there. One of the guys that's looking at coming has the 426 Hemi Challenger, don't know if he plans on bringing that car, but I sure am looking forward to seeing him running it if he does!
Even if your not planning on coming out to race, it might be worth your time to some out and watch. Again hope we have a nice showing.
This event is now only 70 hours away!

Cool numbers Chris! If you can pull the same numbers as you did in Wendover, that would be very impressive. Wendover has a lower elevation than RMR. Calculating it, it's 1.2 seconds slower than in California.
