will we be able to run street tires or do we have to have drag radials? I keep hearing everyone talking about the drag radials.

I dont think I can swing it this month. I'd like to, ut I dont have dr's, and until I see how much the dr bills all end up being, I need to be penny wise.

it dont matter what you have, i think as long as you drive in with them and they pass tec, mine in front are way bad so i need extra rims and tires, thats why i saw dot drag tires cause there still street legal tires

The key with street tires are to go around the water box, you don't need to do a burn out. It could heat your tires too much and cause you to loose traction at the line. |

i went and ruslbus was there and two challys one srt8 and one r/t and the cherokee, i got one practice run in each class i was in then it got rained out

We got one run in, 14.4 was the time. We got tired of the long wait and decided to leave after the first run. I think they got rained out after we left anyways. It was fun, but it is a lot of sitting and waiting.

ya i got two in cause i was registered for the heavy class and the club class, ran a 13.80 first run, then rained then dryed up and made another run and spun of the line and all the way through first and still pulled a 14.23

Sorry guys, I've been under a car every night this week since RMR (will be heading there again shortly). As everyone stated the first event was rained out. My daughter and I stuck around until about 9pm when they finally officially announced the event was rained out. At that time they had all the drivers report again to the ticket booth to pick up a rain check. So we'll be getting into the next event for free. As the next event gets closer, June 12th, I give some tips about checking in. RMR expected you to know everything and we had to make about three trips back up to the front before we completed all the paperwork. There wasn't a lot of people there at the event at all. For the club I counted three from the LX club and two from MOU (the two challengers), only five total. But I think the rain may have chased several away. Just like everyone else we only got one pass. My daughter did good, but was very nervous. She had trouble with the lights and let up on the gas about 20 yards from the finish line (as you'll see below). There was a lot of nice people there. In fact the guy that my daughter went up against (modified Mustang) came up to my daughter after wards and gave her some pointers. Even with a lot of standing around it was fun talking to the other drivers. Plus we got to see one of the cars on the drift track almost hit the wall due to the slick track conditions (they shut their track down too right after that). Hope a lot more can make it to the next one. Well back to under the PT Cruiser so I can finish it tonight for my daughter. Hopefully so I can make it to a showing of the new Star Trek movie tonight. ;D  Alright Eric, let's see your tickets!  |
