Thought it would be kinda fun to post this, I'd say it doesn't just have to be my own, Chris' or Quinn's (or other professional detailer) answer.
Just would like to see what type of techniques, products, ideas, and other cleaning related items people are using/doing.
And of course if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask!

Professionally I've only been detailing for a little over two years, but I've detailed cars in my garage at home since I was 15. That was usually just my neighbors and word of mouth.

I don't think all degreasers are bad for it, I know that the actual labeled engine degreaser at auto parts stores can sometimes ruin them though. But I'd say something like simple green (mixed to the right ratio) would work just fine. If anything, try something on an item that isn't as noticeable and see what happens, let it sit for a while and come back to see if it changes over time or not.

I would never let any cleaner sit longer than 5 minutes and thats with a poor cleaner. I've got a cleaner that is safe for all materials that is pretty much a spray on and rinse off. Its a great degreaser. Anyone who wants some info on it pm me.

Does the engine covers on the chargers just pull off? I want to take it off and give it a wipe down, but I dont want to break the cover if there is a certain way it needs to be taken off.

There should just be 4 plastic tower things under the cover in the 4 corners of the intake, so just pull up until you feel them pop up.
