The company that I work for (McNeil's) ran a special discount last week to try and get more business through the door. Didn't exactly work out as expected, but it gave me a few surprises. Here's a wheel/tire combo that a car had, yes all 4 looked like this when it came in too. Looks great as always Harrison!

Well got to detail a pretty nice BMW 325 today and figured I could post pictures of the work Here's what the whole car looked like to begin with. Here's how it looked when I was done with it. I didn't get any pictures of it outside which sucks but the customer was extremely happy to see the new finish.

How much does something like this cost? My car needs a good wax.

Alright detailers, what's the best thing to remove tar and other stuff from wheels then to polish up factory alcoa wheels.

I got some Masters Formula metal gloss polish at the Autorama. They said it will remove stuff from your wheels and polish them.

I'm pretty sure the factory Alcoa wheels shoulds have a clear on them if so just get a automotive polish(Maguires has some good polish) use a microfiber and hand rub them. If they aren't cleared you are gonna need a metal polish. I have some at my shop Called purple metal polish that is amazing, you can buy a bottle from me for $20, The stuff lasts forever. Before polishing the wheels clear coated or not you will want to make sure they are clean of all debris before polishing especially tar because of the sand grit and small rocks that can be stuck in the tar so you can scratch it if you just start rubbing it with polish so as far as the tar. Just go get some tar remover (No particular brand. Tar remover is tar remover when it comes down to it) from the local parts store before you start polishing them.

The wheel picture that I posted on the last page were aluminum, the clear coat had started flaking off in some spots so I had to polish those with the pneumatic tool that I have (similar to a mothers powerball)
If you were gonna polish your wheels yourself I'd definitely suggest getting one of those from an auto store, it will cut your polishing time in half if not more.

Yep spot on. It's amazing how many people haven't even heard of it lol.
While I was buffing it my boss kept bringing insurance agents by, not a single one of them knew what it was. I'd let them look around the car for some sort of emblem and I eventually had to tell all of them what it was.

I dont know what has happened to my door panels, but they are looking like crap. I always use the same stuff on them and now all of a sudden they are turning grey/white. Any ideas what I can use on them?
