Yeah don't do it lol. I just got a $120 fine for my tint on my tail lights and side markers. First ticket ever in 19 years and not even a warning. I think I might be changing mine back.
If you do decide to do it you can use VHT Night Shades tint spray. $12 a can at most auto stores.

I'd say just don't go too dark, IMO a light tint looks a lot better than a fully black one.

Just 1-2 coats will look great and help dim the red...If you go 8 like me you'll get felony style stops all the time... >.>

I have 3 light coats of VHT on my tails and they still look red in the daylight. I have had them for 4 years and have never been pulled over.  |

I haven't had any problems about my covers yet I like the idea of just being able to pull em off and not have to replace em

Here's a picture of my trucks tails, I've only got 2-3 full coats. Haven't ever been told anything about them being tinted, but I had to take my plate cover off to avoid a ticket   |

It was one of my first mods and I never had any issue with mine except for my trip to MATS last year in St. George. He just gave me a warning. I have a pair of stocks to swap out for a just in case...

Well I guess I'll be thinking of something else to do, thanks. Just...  I think it would great with your white/black theme. You should be okay as long as you keep it light and got some red tint coming through. I have the stockers you can borrow for state inspections too. |
