Worrying about your dial-in is the worse. I think I changed mine 3 times and my wife's 2 times before the first round and then changed them again before the second round. Haha

My wife took second after knocking me out in the second round. lol Congrats to the guy with the Challenger that won. I had a blast! Can't wait until club night next year. Sooo cool racing with you guys. (and gals, lol) You're wife... I mean who couldn't she knock out with reaction times like that. WOW! Just when I thought I learned how to launch, here comes a your wife with a .038 reaction with no break out. Props to her! So, she said you guys hit Evanston up quite a bit? I live in Rock Springs, that's a whopping 1 hour from my front door. PM me and let me know when you guys are going again, I'd like to meet you there if I can free up. I've also suggested on here that a group get together and go hit that track. I hear the Evanston track is quite a bit of fun for all!!! |

Whomever the Chic was driving that Red Magnum was HOOOT!!!. No Offense! Good Times though!!! I Ran a 16.6, 16.0, 16.3, 16.1. Not Bad for a stock 3.6 I lost to a Really fast Mini Van and Too! Hey....this is the chick in the red mag...maybe next time you should say something in person...might get you somewhere...jk lol...but thanks for the compliment ;D HA... this is entertaining. Thanks to that "chick in the red mag" for sharing some of her race wisdom. I ALMOST learned how to launch... Like I said on Friday, the only way from here is faster! |

That was only her second day of launching off a tree. I've hit Evanston a couple times since they opened, once this year with my wife. It is definitely a blast. They usually have brackets at the end of the day after everyone gets a bunch of time trial runs. We may try to hit that one more time this year since we won't get another bracket event at RMR this year. If we do, I'll shoot you a pm. |

Evanston has a track called the Hypoxia Speedway, its at www.hypoxiadragway.com/ and is located just north of Evanston. It is an effort by some locals to rejuvenate an old retired air strip. Something they should do here in Rock Springs... we have huge turnouts for our redneck races as we have a dirt oval and a huge motocross track. For some reason they don't think its worth a strip here... Anyway, I have yet to see the track in person. However, I have a crew of friends here that run on it rather frequently. Its been in operation roughly 6 years and apparently gets a little better each year. The only complaint I've heard about it is a 1/8 with a rather short run-off area? One of my friends takes his all motor Mustang Cobra with its twin screw supercharger and his balls out Lightning pick up fairly often. He keeps asking me to go with him, maybe I just will so that I can get a better hold on reaction times. There's a few videos out there of it online. I mean its no Bonneville/RMR but it gets the job done for us southwest Wyoming folk. Our national track is up in Douglas and is one hell of a trek from here. We have tons of diesels which probably love this track... Figure it could be a fun little day on the road for a few people. |

The only thing the Wendover track ever had over the Evanston track is the Casinos in Wendover. The actual track at Evanston is leagues ahead of the Wendover track imo. I have raced on both and I enjoy the Evanston track much more. You get an actual timeslip at Evanston instead of going into the shack at Wendover after you run to try to find your time. Also Wendover never gave you reaction times or 60' times.

Feedback Gordon and Lee received is that we are going to have to have a deadline on the list with all the information needed. Yea, Ron said that "We are gong to have a talk about next year." But I'll take the blame for that as I should have start verifying the information sooner. Next year when we start collection the names we'll have to get all the other information at the same time. The other thing that Ron was upset about is at one point some of the new racers accidentally ran in the time trials with the street legal series people. Ron thought they were trying to race in two classes with out paying. I think he realized that it was an error and that wasn't the case. I think we'll be ok, for heave sakes we had 40 cars in our class, which I think was more than any of the others. I just think we caught him off guard. That's my girl! Any guesses or bets on what people will run? Lol Hey Daniel, what did 482RWHP net you in the quarter mile? I know your tires where breaking loose all the way through the 1/8 mile. You like many of the Supercharger guys, you are going to need sticker tires. |
