Trying to think of what other modifications I can do while its in the shop?? I am open to suggestions. Thinking a Gauge set w/tach light, Driveshaft loop (so I can run at Bonneville this year) You could always do a 6.1L CNC ported intake manifold, 90mm throttle body. Dont recall if your bad arse Challenger was 6 speed or auto? if it is auto I would highly suggest a nice torque convertor. 2800 stall is still very streetable but I am thinking I want a 3400-3600 stall next. This will help off the line and the low rpm range. Sounds like this is turning out to be one naturally aspirated monster. Oh yeah, I am sure you mean RMR and not bonneville salt flats, because I dont think anyone would suggest or even thinking bout taking your Challenger out on Salt. For RMR driveshaft loop is always suggested, especially if you are planning on doing drag radials or slicks. Besides it is a great safety feature and piece of mind.

Great ideas. Call me crazy but I go out to Bonneville every year to at least one of 3 events. Lifetime member of USFRA. I have run my Mustangs, 08 Charger, over the years and this year, ChallengeIt will run. We are looking to run in the 130 MPH club, because the 150 requires a rollcage.
I will also be going to RMR And Miller open track.
And yeah its a 6 speed Engine comes out Thursday!!! I will be hands on with as much as I can be.

How do you get all of the salt out of the cracks of the car? Good luck on joining 130MPH club, I hear it isnt as easy as one would think compared to driving on streets.
No need for stall convertor with 6 speed.

Too many places it can get into and not fully rinse out. But I take my hat off you for willing to do so! Ya Chris, I've talked with one of the salt flat clubs during AutoRama a couple of years ago and he stated that it's not as easy as some people would think. Car don't run on the salt the as they do no the street.

For sure its not an easy thing to do. You think if you go 100+ in the qtr mile, going 130 in 1 mile should be easy. Till you realize once your traveling at that speed you don't have much time to get the next 30mph.
Many try and don't make it
As for the Salt just need to be diligent on the cleanup. I say its worth it.

Decided to add the 6.1 intake. Good suggestion Chris, thanks. It also allows me to add a special addition which I will reveal when its done. Here are a couple pics so far.

Right on, glad I was able to help with suggestions. Check with Dave @ Hinckley, I know he had a few ported ones from Dave Weber at Modern Muscle Performance; www.modernmuscleperformance.com/This is were I got mine from, pretty penny for just 20-25HP on stock Heads and Cam but well worth it when you start to do Head, Cam and Stroker work, which is future mods down the road. There is 3 different stages or port work and of course there is additional options. Didnt see the pictures but hopefully its a catch can, which I guess I am in great need of one. Premier performance couldnt get any more timing on mine due to the knock which is caused by the oil bulid up in my manifold, which is a direct effect of not having a catch can
