Yep, I've been talking with Ron via Email over the holidays. He said that he may not be able to give us two events this year, but I've asked for them anyways.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back.

Sheesh considering we had more cars for the club night than they get for other weekly events (except midnights) I'd sure hope they gave us our own events.
I've heard talk on other local forums of them bringing club events back for the amount of revenue it brought in. Guess we'll just have to cross our fingers and wait to see what happens.

I have the dates, May 31st & July 12th.
RMR is asking if we want to have eliminations as we normally have, or just match racing this time? My thought is to have match racing on the May event so the people that haven't done a lot of racing can get used to the lights and what not, and then on the July event have eliminations.
Let me know your thoughts!

Let me know your thoughts! Sounds like a plan, especially if they allow everyone to get 4-5 runs in, although both nights are street legal points and midnights. Maybe we will get alot more folks out for open runs but count me in for both dates, this time I will be more prepared as opposed to showing up during time trials. |

that's true Chris, but the crappy thing about it is I got 2nd place and was not fortunate enough to ride in the viper.

Ok, I know we are still a couple of months away, but I want to get this posted so I don't have the same issue we had last year. The first RMR Event this year is on Friday May 31st. Track opens at 3pm and time trials can start as early as 4:30pm, the actual racing will start at about 7:00pm. This event is match racing, which runs very similar to Midnight Drags. Two cars line up, lights go green at the same time and the person across the finish line wins. No dial in's. if you want to race a particular person you try to make sure your next to them in the lanes.
I will need the list of names of those that want to participate the Friday before, Friday May 24. This is the information I'll need; full name, year make & model of car, & the city your from. If you don't feel comfortable posting that info on the forum then just send it to me in a message. I 'll keep a running list as people post up. But remember to post up before May 24th.

Hey Gordon, Sadly I will be out of town May 31st but put me down for July club night. Someone please take video. And Its good to see Stephen posting in the racing thread. Hope to see the Charger out on the track this year  |

I plan on trying to attend both events. It's a bit far away right now but you can add to the list for the time being.
