Feb 27, 2010 5K Run/Walk and Mini Car Show

My friend Brett Fafard in my apartment complex was diagnosed with stage three testicular cancer in June of last year. He has since undergone surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy. There is a 5K Run/Walk and I want to do a LX Car Show just to show a little support for him. Donations are welcome and will help the cause. Here's the link for more info.

Let me know who will be coming so I can set an area aside for us to park. It's down here in Provo in the Riverwoods Shopping Center Area. The 5K will be at 9AM. I think people should arrive at 8:30AM just to get instructions and where the route will be for the run. Thanks.

March is going to be a busy week for me. I'm already loosing two weekends, possibly a third with the LHM Grand Opening Car Show. The wife would kill me if I booked every weekend!

Do we have times yet? I might be able to make depending on what time. Emily is interested in doing the 5k and I might not have a choice but to participate in that. We have a family event later in the day so I just need to be able to coordinate times.

I wish I could run. My back is so screwed up that all I can do is run a mile and the pain starts to kick in like crazy.

Count me and Emily in for the run. I'm 50/50 on the car show depends on if i'm done with mine by then

I had a head on collision where the other party drove the wrong way up an offramp. The police said the impact was estimated at about 80mph. I was rushed to the ICU and was in there with 4 doctors for an intense 4 hours. I was driving a 2003 Dodge Durango and the other person was driving an old Dodge Ram Conversion Van. Glad to be alive, but I was also pissed because I just bought 4 new tires, about $800, and was getting ready for a road trip. The seatbelt and airbags saved my life. Since then my hip is off by 13mm, better than at the time of the accident at 25mm and my back was just screwed up which was slowly aligned as best as the sports chiropractor could. Here's a picture of what the car looked like afterwards when we went to go take pictures for insurance.
