I know nothing about tracks so pardon my retaredness. lol but do they make you burn the heck out of your tires when you are at the track? I dont think I could do that to my poor car. lol. It sounds like alot of fun, anything that involves going fast and no cops chasing me down is a good time. lol

But once you go down the track once and realize that you have no traction at all the first time, it's hard not to on the second go around. Traction is everything off the line, which is one thing my truck doesn't fully understand yet. |

With running street tires you really don't want to do a burn out. The guys that are doing that are running race tires that you need to get warm up so they get really sticky. You'll just need to go around the water box. A good street tire should give you enough bit. I don't think either Mikey or Richard had any trouble with the tires they were running last year.
I'll turn some dates into Ron then!

In fact runnin through the water box in street tires is actually a bad idea because water can get into the sipes (grooves) of the tire! |

I know its still early in the year, but any word on possible dates? I've asked for May 13th and September 2, one at the beginning of the season and one and the end. That way we're not there during the blistering heat, limits our chances of getting rained out, and the two races aren't back to back. Haven't heard back yet, but it hasn't been a week yet either. |

The nights of our club racing is Friday May 13th and Friday September 2nd!
Get those dates on your calendars. And just because you have a V6 doesn't mean you can't run and not be competitive either! And if you have an R/T or SRT you have no excuse not to run!
Remember we are just racing ourselves!
