Sent Ron, the RMR Track Manager an Email to see if he had dates for us yet for club racing in 2011. He said that he was still working out the details and would get back to me after the first of the year. Gordon, do we have a gauge of how many members are interested from SLCLX & MOU? We may have to send a mass email out first part of April before the track opens for T&T 4/16 and club racing day. Also March 5th the Official first Annual M&G of 2011 @ AutoRama. I guess we can plug it in that mass email to keep it on top of everyone memory.

I'm sure interest will increase once I have some more details and spring gets closer.

Ron Craft has asked me to give him two dates for next year. As discussed this will be racing just amongst ourselves. We can pick the coolest times during the year, which is in the spring, but then we have the chance of being rained out.
Let me know what you guys think.
We must have a minimum of 12 cars and a max of 25 (or so). The rules will be a little more lenient as they are not requiring that the cars be registered. This might get a few more of the classic race cars out.

This might get a few more of the classic race cars out. 12 cars minimum between 2 clubs seems doable. Hopefully we get closer to 25 cars. I suggest sending mass emails out to both clubs. I know there would be a few interested that dont log on to forums very often. As far as weather goes, I would suggest mid May or early June and hope for the best. Temps should still be pretty cool.

Sounding like we are going to have a pretty good turnout from SLCLX. I will try to get a rough list of those that are interested. 440Gordy MikEy ponch79 V6 1sikcharger srt801 abl2fly gomango BENISASPUD 2chargerguy hadlock801 lambosrt missrt4 jlawless srt8300c srtxlr8 (Ed B.) I'm hoping to get my brother out on the track this year, but I don't know if he will be up for it.

I'm still debating it. Not looking forward to running 18 second 1/4 miles. Maybe I can borrow Emily's car or get her to enter.

Its all about having fun and safely opening our rides up in a control enviroment without the risk of getting speeding tickets. Besides Eddy, believe or not, it comes down to driver. I seen faster cars lose cause they red lighted. And the club racing is brackets, so that would level the playing field and make it more exciting. You & Emily should both come out & run! I think for the preliminary runs, we should put V6 against other V6, SRT4 vs other SRT4, Classid vs Classic, Trucks vs Trucks, Etc I would get my a$$ handed to me in my slow car Maybe I will come and watch to see what its all about. Sounds fun. Tanya, you would be surprised. Besides R/T's do really well. Mikey & Richard both do extremely well and this isnt heads up, its bracket, so no you wont get your arse handed to you.
